Too many companies want to do good but don't have the tools. Legacy platforms are expensive, complex, and built for Fortune 500 budgets. We built Selflessly to change that — a modern platform that gives growing companies the same capabilities as the biggest enterprises, without the overhead.
Our story
Founded in Indianapolis, 2020.
While working as an innovation leader at his corporate job, Joshua Driver (he/him) discovered many barriers to engaging his fellow employees in giving back. He wanted to create an inclusive, engaged culture — but each employee cared about different causes, and the tools available were either too expensive or too rigid to serve everyone.
So he built Selflessly. A better, more inclusive option for every employee to support the causes they care about — whether through donations, volunteering individually, team days of service, or matching gifts.
Today, Selflessly powers social impact programs for growing companies across the country. In 2026, we launched V2 — the industry's first AI-native impact platform, rebuilt from the ground up with AI embedded in the codebase. It's the platform we always wanted to build, made possible by what AI can now do.
Joshua Driver (He/Him)
Founder
Indianapolis native, civic leader, and social impact advocate. Joshua founded Selflessly to make corporate giving and volunteering accessible to companies of all sizes. Prior to Selflessly, he founded Open for Service (now Open for All), a 501(c)(3) that received coverage from CNN and BBC. He's an active member of the Indianapolis civic community and is committed to building technology that strengthens — not replaces — the organizations doing the hardest work.
How we built this
AI-native from the ground up
Selflessly's V2 platform is built on a private, gated AI instance. We chose this path because it lets us build Phil — our AI Chief Impact Officer — with full transparency and strong data governance. Phil learns patterns, not people: his memory refreshes weekly, and your company's data is never used to train AI models.
